I didn't do this task properly, but wanted to get one shot in for week 10 of Kim Klassens 'Be Still' workshop........not enough time in the week to have builders in the house and take photographs!
Supposed to take shots from different angles........

Vogue......
I found an old 'Vogue' book at Tynemouth market yesterday and started a couple of postcard pieces yesterday.
One is of a young Joan Collins and the other an Italian actress called Silvana Mangano
I love Brian Kasstle apaperbear.wordpress.com/ and Johns at Artjuvenations work artjuvenation@blogspot.com and have tried to make a couple of small pieces based on some of their postcards swap work...............
These have many layers...
Wax crayon
Dylusions spray ink
Spray ink with stencils
Gesso with stencils
Water soluble pastel onto the gesso
Vogue image collage
Tissue collage
Tar gel with gold acrylic through stencil
Bird and word collage
Stamp
Watercolour
Scratchy pen writing

Print........
Print your photographs............
OK ..... And then take photographs of your prints - make them tangible.......
A series of photographs that I took before I started 'Be Still', printed on a contact sheet, photographed in the bowls that I took the original ones in.....
I so enjoyed this.
Edited on my i pad... nothing fancy.......
What do you think?

Postcard journaling swap.......
My friend Heather and I both like Brian Kasstles work....http://apaperbear.wordpress.com/
His journaling is often on postcards and often swapped with other artists to complete.
So, of course, 200 miles apart, this sounded a good idea for us.
We don't really have any rules, just to add something to the card and send to the other.
We have no idea when they will be finished and it's turning into a great experiment.
Here are the pics of the first batch of cards. Six each.
Heather did lots of collaging on hers and I got out my watercolours and broad brush stroked all six at the same time.

Backlight........
Backlight ........ this weeks task for 'Be Still 52' workshop
I bought this jug and 2 mugs in a charity shop. I love the shape of the jug.
The blanket was found at Tynemouth market and I cut it into four and made lap blankets from them for my Christmas Emporium. This one stayed with me.
Maybe it will turn up in a painting sometime......
I'm just starting to even think about making work again after The Art Tour.
Slowly..........

Post Art Tour Blur............
So the Art Tour was here and .......... gone!
It wasn't straight forward. It wasn't easy. It wasn't massively successful in terms of selling lots of work ...... I sold enough to make it just worth while.
I did have lots of lovely conversations, tea and home made biscuits with family, friends and neighbours.
And ..... it helped me to realise that a one day summer event, advertised locally and through family, friends, neighbours and my mailing list would probably be just as successful.
So, watch this space for 2015 Art In The Garden Party!
And the blur? It's the Kim Klassen task for last week.
A photograph which is in focus close up and blurred backdrop. Harder to do than you would think!
I'm not massively in love with this photo, but I'm a week behind, so had to get on with it!
With 52 lessons over a year, I've got to keep up :-)
What do you think? Would love to hear from you..........
